Highlights for Children, Inc. Release Agreement

I hereby consent, authorize and give Highlights for Children, Inc, and its subsidiaries (collectively, “HFC”) and any third party agents, employees, representatives and consultants of or to HFC permission to make use of, license or assign the use of, my stories, notes, submissions, image, appearance, likeness, voice and/or photograph, and all of the minor children appearing herein, and other reproductions of any of these, in still photographs, video, publications, audio, sound recordings, web sites, public displays, promotional material and events, printed materials and books for media consumption, electronic and other media and/or motion pictures (collectively, the “Materials”).

I hereby release and discharge HFC, its officers, directors, shareholders, employees, and agents, from any and all suits, claims, causes of action, complaints, obligations, demands or liabilities of any kind, including without limitation all claims for copyright infringement, invasion of privacy, right of publicity, and defamation, whether in law or in equity, direct or indirect, known or unknown, that may be related to, or may be in connection with, or may arise out of the use of the Materials.

I understand and agree that I am to receive no compensation of any kind, monetary or otherwise, on account of or arising from the production, publication, recording, rebroadcasting, or other use of such Materials.

HFC shall have complete ownership of the Materials produced or published and shall have the exclusive right and license to make such use of that Material as it wishes, including, but not limited to, the right of performance, display, reproduction and distribution in all media, and the right to create, perform, display and distribute derivative works of the Materials. I am above the age of 18. I have read the foregoing document and fully understand its contents. This release shall be binding upon me, my heirs, legal representatives and assigns.

This agreement shall be governed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to any principles of conflict of laws.
